Today is first and most important, is Mother’s Day. Second, it’s National Fibromyalgia Day. I couldn’t think of a better day to honor both. Many of you already know my story, I can’t believe it’s been 19 years since my diagnosis.
Never has anything taken so much for me in many ways than Fibro. On the opposite side of the spectrum, never has anything given me so much than my mom.
A fierce, loyal confidant my mom has always given me love, courage, confidence and support. Whether it’s in my battle with Fibro or my everyday life. Sometimes it’s the courage to go on, to fight another day, or confidence to go after what I want in life.
Throughout the years Fibro has been a blessing in the way that it has allowed me to help others. Without the battle I would never have known my passion and place in this world is to help others. So, on this special day I celebrate my mom, for the hard-won battles, for the confidence you always give me to keep fighting the fight. The remembering I have fibro but it doesn’t have me. You have taught me life is tough, but I am tougher.
For all that you are and all that you do. I cherish you, I honor you and I love you. You are the wind beneath my wings.
Happy Mother’s Day!
